West End Festival

Volunteers
The Chillout has been helping 2 university students to complete their courses through work placement in the club. The girls were a great help. But we need more volunteers, the club is a charity and we struggle to provide enough staff to keep it open so we rely on volunteers to help us out. Anyone who is able to give even and hour of their time each week to supervise the children while they are in the club would be welcomed with open arms. You will need to have a PVG Check done, but as a volunteer there will be no cost to you. Please get in touch using our contact details, we need your help.
Baby Chill
The Chillouts very own mother and toddler group is held in the club every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm. Children can enjoy games, crafts, singing, stories, snack and milk or juice and free play. Parents can have a cuppa and a chat, there are various sessions planned for the next year from Cooking demonstrations to daytrips. Cost- £1 per child, 50p for additional child in same family.
New members-
Remember- kids can start the Chillout as soon as they turn 5 or once they start school, whichever is first. The Primary School Session is from 5pm-7pm Monday to Friday and costs 75p for entry. Membership of £3 per year is payable to cover rent etc. Tuck shop is available.
Older Session
The older session is starting up again this year as we have a lot of Primary 7 kids ready to move up to High School. The club is open on a Thursday evening from 7.30-9.30pm for Secondary School pupils and we hope to open more nights once we have regular attendance. Cost is 75p for entry, membership of £3 per year is payable to cover rent etc. Tuck shop is available.
Youth Committee
One of the things we are working on is our new Youth Committee, we have six committee members and our newly voted Chair and Vice Chair. The group plans to hold a jumble sale and a car wash over the summer to raise money for gymnastics mats, they will be working towards their Dynamic Youth Awards as part of this.
Garden Club
Garden club is still on, even during holidays, on a wednesday at 3.30 till 5pm, all welcome. The kids have been busy planting fruit trees, herbs, vegetables and wildflowers. The garden is looking great but we need any help we can get, tools, plants or just a helping hand. If your interested in helping the kids out, pop along or call the office anytime.
